Tip #2 – Beauty 911
Here are three simple ways to extend the life of your beauty products:

1. Wash your hands before applying makeup.

2. Keep your beauty booty away from heat and moisture. Instead of storing your stuff in the bathroom (where these factors can be constants), keep your makeup in a dresser drawer. Yes, you'll have to move over to the mirror when you need to get pretty, but the cool, dry, dark space is ideal.

3. Take a look at all of your loot every four to five weeks, even if you purchased your cosmetics at different times. Smell everything and be aware of any changes in texture, color, or consistency. And if you're fretting about having to throw out a bunch at once, think of it this way: You'll have made room for some cool new beauty tools.

Tip #1 – Concealers: Why & Where
Concealers are probably the most incorrectly applied product that most of us wear on a daily basis. In fact, some women would never leave home without it! Although professionals usually blend more than one color, most women can achieve coverage with one color and type of concealer.

• Look in the mirror and really try to see where the typically bluish discoloration    appears.

• Then apply a small amount of your concealer (I prefer a Taklon brush, but lots    of my clients use their fingers) to the area.

• Stop! Are you putting it all across, under your eye? Most women need only to    apply a backward “C” around the inner eye by the bridge of the nose.

• Then simply use your brush and blend downward and feather edges or use    your finger to gently tap to blend.

• Too much concealer under the eye just creases and collects in the smile lines.    And, our dark circles are generally not directly under the eye, but more    inward.

• You may also need a drop of coverage near the outer corner of the eye where    redness  may occur. Follow the same procedure for this area.

• Remember, choose a yellow or yellow-beige color that matches or is just    slightly lighter than your skin tone. Too light a color gives a “doe in the    headlights” effect.
